Sr. Product Design Engineer
Huntsville AL; 90-100K
Aerospace subsidiary of large $11 Billion Multinational company located 25
miles west of Huntsville AL, has an opening for a Sr. Product Design
Engineer.

which has over 200 facilities and is also in Europe and China. Job
requires
candidate to have a B.S. in Engineering, minimum 3-5 years related to
engineering knowledge of industrial hydraulics. Experience should include
developing designs specific to customer application, performing stress
calculations, and using 3D-CAD (preferably SolidWorks). Company prefers
candidate to have knowledge of actuators/cylinders, knowledge of launching
product development process, and team leader****p/supervisory skills.
Duties:
Plan, supervise and execute the technical design of custom and standard
actuators.
Work closely with large key customers both for mobile and industrial
customers
to plan and execute the design of custom products (cylinders).
Perform regular customer visits to refine designs and troubleshoot field
problems.
Coordinate design with manufacturing engineering to design parts that can
be
manufactured economically.
Provide technical sup****t to manufacturing, assembly, sales (quoting) and
marketing.
Ability to perform static and fatigue stress calculations, simulation in
design
analysis will be required.
Project Management of multiple projects concurrently, which includes risk
identification, technical assistance and excellent communication skill.
Plan and execute the design and development of new product lines.
Keep abreast of applicable technology advancements within the company and
globally for use in adaptations to company products.
Plan and execute the design of custom and standard cylinders.
Review engineering drawings, bill of material, and sup****ting
do***entation for
correctness and recommend and or perform changes to engineering drawings,
bills
of material, and do***ents.
Plan and implement laboratory testing of new products to verify
performance
conforms to the engineering specification.
Plan and implement laboratory testing of existing products to determine
reasons
for field problems.
Review and evaluate results of laboratory testing.
