JOB TITLE: Supplier Development Engineer

BS DEGREE IN ENGINEERING - BSME, BS MFG, BSIE
5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
BACKGROUND IN SUPPLIER QUAILITY ENGINEERING A PLUS
SIX-SIGMA AND LEAN MANUFACTURING A PLUS
MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Selected candidate will possess a BS Degree in Engineering, coupled with
3-5
years experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate will be
responsible
for the execution of an agressive external supplier improvement program by
using Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Analysis techiques to help
lower
total costs.
Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for the
following:
warranty evaluation; root cause analysis; supplier quality functional
excellence; and cost model development. Also, the Supplier Development
Engineer will assist suppliers and the company to achieve "Total Cost
Reductions" as a result of direct material cost and process cost
reductions
which will be achieved by assisting suppliers to eliminate waste in their
operations, both on the shop floor and in sup****t areas as well.
