JOB TITLE: Architect - construction
LOCATION: Huntsville, US-AL
JOB TYPE: Direct
SALARY : $70000 - $80000

DESCRIPTION:
BS in Architecture or related field with 2+ years experience as architect
in
past projects. Familiarity with AutoCADD and/or MicroStation software.
Registered Architect. Experience in design of federal government
facilities
highly desirable.  LEED accredited. The Registered Architect will
research,
plans, and design projects that include buildings and other structures,
either
new structures or rehabilitation and repair of existing structures.  Works
with
multi-functional engineering team and incor****ates mechanical, civil and
electrical engineering into design.  Applies knowledge of design,
construction
procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials.  Consults
with
client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure
or
renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications,
materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. 
Plans
layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design
for
client review and approval.  Prepares scale drawings and contract
do***ents
for construction contractors.  Helps evaluate bids and awarding
construction
contracts. Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during
construction to
monitor compliance with plans.  May prepare operating and maintenance
manuals,
studies, and re****ts. Uses computer-assisted design software and equipment
to
prepare project designs and plans.  May direct activities of workers
engaged in
preparing drawings and specification do***ents. Client will pay relocation
expenses.

MANDATORY EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science
