Technician - Position Summary/Accountabilities: Responsible for
planning, directing, and implementing all assigned maintenance
activities in a safe and environmentally conscious manner with a
keen focus on continuously improving competitive position and
profitability. Job Functions: Within Maintenance Departments,
leads and drives the establishment, acceptance and maintenance of
process performance. Interfaces with the Process Performance
Coordinator to ensure the process performance activities align
with plant/unit financial and operating goals. Drives continuous
improvement in all processes. Actively coaches direct re****ts
and communicates with all employees to facilitate positive change
and continuous improvement in all processes, including the safety
process. Coaches direct re****ts in the performance of their
duties developing within them an attitude of empowerment, self
direction and owner****p of financial and operating goals and
results. Assists in the selection of employees and the
direction and selection of training to sup****t maximization of
financial and operating results and employee growth and
development. Ensures resolution of departmental labor relations
issues. As a senior member of the plants management team,
directly participates in the development of plant specific goals
and objectives. Continuously monitors performance results against
financial and operating goals and communicates such information
to employees. Ensures that employees understand and accept
Business Unit and plant/unit financial and operating goals and
focus their efforts on achieving such goals. Takes appropriate
actions to ensure that resources and efforts remain focused on
the achievement of plant/unit financial and operating goals.
Leads and drives the establishment, acceptance and implementation
of an effective failure management function that maximizes
financial and operating results. Coordinates the maintenance
activities of all departments. Ensures strict adherence to
cor****ate values in complying with all environmental, safety and
other laws and regulations. Participates in outage planning.
Ensures employees re****t to their jobs in appropriate mental and
physical condition and ready to work (fit for duty).
Demonstrates leader****p in the area of safety. This requires
observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, encouraging
safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and
unsafe behaviors which may lead to accidents. Champions
diversity initiatives and equal employment op****tunities. All
other work as assigned by supervisor. Physical & Environmental
Requirements: Physical requirements include talking in front of
groups, finger dexterity, sitting for long periods of time,
hearing, seeing, and driving a vehicle. Environmental
requirements include working indoors and outdoors. Apply online
