Job Functions: Management - General, Other - Alliant Energy 
currently has an op****tunity in Williams, IA for a General 
Manager, Williams Bulk Transfer  Position 
Summary/Accountabilities - Responsible for financial performance, 
facility operations, and customer interface.  Job Functions - 
Planning, directing, and implementing all activities in a safe 
and environmentally conscious manner. This requires observing, 
encouraging, and enforcing safety rules.  Coach and communicate 
with employees to facilitate continuous improvement and change. 
Handles disciplinary and grievance procedures.  Participate in 
the financial and budget planning process and assure attainment 
thereof.  Prioritize capital and O&M projects to ensure financial 
and operating results.  Work with internal and external 
customers. Assist marketing department with pricing and service 
development.  Promote strong employee and community relations.  
Assure compliance with regulatory bodies and operating permits.  
Adhere to cor****ate values complying with all environmental, 
safety, and other laws.  All other work as assigned by president. 
 Demonstrates leader****p in the area of safety. This requires 
observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, encouraging 
safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and 
unsafe behaviors which may lead to accidents.  Ensures employees 
re****t to their jobs in appropriate mental and physical condition 
and ready to work (fit for duty).  Promotes and sup****ts 
diversity initiatives and equal employment op****tunity.  Physical 
& Environmental Requirements - Physical requirements include 
sitting, hearing, seeing, finger dexterity, reading, depth 
perception, and color vision. Environmental requirements include 
working with and around people, mechanical hazards, and vehicle 
operations. Able to climb on railroad cars, ladders, product 
piles, barges and trucks to inspect equipment, buildings and 
products.  Technical/Job Skill Qualifications - The candidates 
must meet the following minimum qualifications, and have 
demonstrated the following technical or job skills:  Education - 
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field 
preferred.  Minimum of 2 years managerial experience with 
profit/loss, budget, operations and staffing responsibility.  
Computer experience (Excel; MS Word--spread sheets and word 
processing; trace trains; e-mail; internet searches--maps, phone 
numbers, vendors, weather).  Customer relations and basic 
financial analysis skills   Public/government relations 
experience including inspections, permits, complaints, council 
and zoning meetings.  Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory 
compliance.  Ability to administer company work rules and 
procedures.  Work experience with and around heavy mechanical 
equipment and bulk material handling.   Valid drivers license.  
Ability to work in a diverse work environment.  Leader****p, 
interpersonal, and team building skills.  Additional knowledge 
helpful: construction, coal handling, railroad locomotives/switch 
engines, pumps, conveyor systems, dust control, scale experience 
(truck/rail/bag/belt), unit trains, and inventory processes.
