Postings/Apply for Job Supervision Received: Performs work
under the general supervision of an Energy Delivery Senior
Construction Specialist or designated supervisor. Supervision
Given: May direct the activities of others at locations where
there are not other salaried supervisors present. Position
Summary/Accountabilities: Performs primary customer contact and
company spokesperson for residential and small commercial
customers for new or changes to existing electric and/or gas
systems. Performs various engineering detail (and field) work
ensuring work orders are complete and the job site meets all
requirements. Responsible for selecting the most cost effective
project design that incor****ates construction standards. Job
Functions: Works independently or with limited supervision and
within established policies, procedures and standards, performs
the following engineering detail or associated tasks, both in the
office and in the field. Works with hourly and salaried
supervisors in scheduling work for others. Plans, details,
prepare estimates for work orders, prepare and closes work
orders; prepares materials lists, tickets and transfers, customer
contributions and charges. Performs a variety of field work,
including locating and sizing of services, customer load
determination, staking, survey work of moderate difficulty; works
with local government and prepares and obtains distribution
easements as assigned; makes field checks and inventories;
gathers and prepares information for various permits, licenses
and joint use applications. Performs a variety of functions to
track and do***ent worked performed to sup****t business
processes. Work includes creating customer information and work
activities requested to performed in the work management system,
GIS/Mapping System, CIS and other systems. Responsible for the
accuracy and quality of information generated for each work
activity. Obtains information from engineering prints and
prepares necessary maps and sketches. Surveys project if required
or review survey do***ents and ensure accuracy. Prepares
maintenance work sheets, accident re****ts and claim forms.
Interacts with Zone Managers and Resource Managers to identify
resource requirements. Handles ordinary inquiries involving
company procedures, extension rules, service rules, code
requirements, service entrance and metering requirements.
Develops project charters and schedules using project management
concepts and computer software. Provides technical sup****t for
all work requests through the construction process. Resolves
technical issues and ensures that the crew understands the work
scope, detail and schedule. Responsible for emergency response
back-up in assigned process (i.e. widespread electrical outages
or gas emergencies). This includes *****sing risks and costs,
determining labor resources, assisting in managing callout
procedures and monitoring performance measures for emp
