Unix Developer (with Java)
Client, a leading Financial Software House, requires a Unix Developer
to sup****t the needs of our US customer
The Role:
The successful candidate will use a wide range of technical skills
to sup****t the development of new functionality whilst also assisting in
driving the process improvements and upgrades as they occur.
This is a unique op****tunity and requires an experienced individual
capable of working independently and in a variety of capacities.
You must have impeccable credentials and an outstanding track record
as well as excellent communication skills in order to be considered for
this position
Requirements:
Recognised 3rd level IT qualification and have at least 2-3 years
software development experience
Unix technical experience (preferably AIX)
Unix batch scheduling, Unix scripting
Technical experience of Java (J2SE) and JavaScript
Technical skills should include XML, and XSLT where the candidates
existing work experience must demonstrate same
Demonstrated ability to work with users in investigating technical
issues
Capable of producing do***ented requirements, developing designs,
preparing and executing test plans
Must provide relevant production sup****t for existing application
Position may require travel to the US from time to time
The following would be advantageous:
Technical experience of programming with Visual Basic 6 including
the creation, deployment and sup****t of COM and DCOM
Experience of SQL Server 2000 or similar database
Experience of creating and sup****ting Crystal Re****ts up to version 8.0
Any experience of Adobe Acrobat Writer, Creating and maintaining PDFs
