Design logical and physical database designs that sup****t
client/business objectivesSup****t/monitor the creation of physical data
modelsAnalyze content and quality of databases and provide data
normalization approachesDevelop and implement standards for data naming
and database designImplement fixes and enhancements
Main Duties/ Responsibilities of the Role:
Development of database stored procedures and design of the data model
to sup****t the user requirements of the Customer Master Service
Application. Work closely with analysts to understand business
requirements and translate into design. Work closely with the test team
to sup****t the component and acceptance test phases investigating and
resolving defects. Agreeing and enforcing development standards and
quality control procedures. Do***ent solutions
Skills and Experience:
Required Skills: 4+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development. 4+ years of
Oracle scripting. 2+ years of Unix Korn Shell scripting. Experience
with web application development. Database performance tuning. Object
Oriented design skills. Demonstrated testing experience. Business
Objects experience a plus. Effective analysis of new and existing
applications and platforms. Utilizes development best practices (coding
standards, design and code reviews, unit testing, performance testing,
etc..). Desired Skills: Willingness to take owner****p. Delivery focused
.. Structured, methodical approach. Work well under pressure (go extra
mile when needed). Personal Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills in dealing within IT and with end users Clear
communication and do***entation of technical specifications.
Self-Motivated. Team-Player. Ability to multi-task. Tolerance for
change.
Experience/Background: 4+ years of software development in a commercial
environment within a structured development methodology.
