Senior Database Analyst
The Senior Database Analyst will perform, but is not limited to, the
following job responsibilities:
1. Develop data models and data structures as well as web-enabled
applications using advanced technologies and methodologies.
2. Ability to learn and write in web scripting languages such as HTML,
DHTML, CSS, WML, Perl, and CGI scripts.
3. Be experienced in technologies used in gene-based assay testing and
proteomic analysis. Have knowledge of and experience with common
bioinformatics tools, sequence alignment and proteomic/genomic
database searching. Knowledge of biological sequence analysis
(Bayesian analysis, scoring methods etc) is also desired. Knowledge of
and experience with artificial intelligence systems including neural
nets, genetic algorithms etc would be helpful.
4. Design and develop data models and applications in sup****t of a
laboratory information management system. Interface with LIMS for data
mining, interpretation of patient result data and laboratory
instrument interfacing.
5. Ability to use Object Oriented processes in sup****t of digital
design technologies.
