J2EE Stand Alone Development/ Contract/ IN
This is a six month contract in the Ft Wayne, IN area. The rate is $75 hr
1099 or Corp to Corp. No expense money, so local and regional candidates
are
preferred, but all will be considered.

Start date is 6/1/08.
Join a project team tasked with upgrading and enhancing the Net Management
(SNMP) functions of an existing RF-based (Radio) system. The project
involves java based, multi-tier application development. This is a
stand-alone application, not web based. The framework is an in-house
design,
similar to J2EE.
Requirements Include:
Strong Java application development experience and OOD.
Experience building stand-alone, multi-tier, client-server java
applications. Again this application is not web-based.
Highly Desired Experience (Could see higher than advertised Pay Rate):
Experience and high over all knowledge of application security and
platform
security:
Experience using Java libraries to provide protection and access control
via
logins with specific roles and different access to the database based on
those roles.
Other desired items are in the list below in order of im****tance:
Knowledge of SNMP and Network Management systems
Skills and experience in creating User Interfaces with Swing or other UI &
Graphics libraries.
The ability to read UML and use UML to present ideas
Knowledge of J2EE and other similar frameworks
Knowledge of Jboss
Experience with databases like MySQL
Familiarity with Eclipse development tools
Familiarity with Linux (Redhat) and XP systems development
A background in RF and communication systems
