Sr. Programmer Analyst
Description:
This position will write or modify computer program applications in
sup****t of the user community as well as review and write detailed
systems specifications and instructions to process specific business
data. The position will participate in the evaluation and selection of
vendor software and assist in the customization of vendor software and
in the definition and programming of interfaces between purchased
software and in-house applications. Stay abreast of available
technology and software. The Sr. Programmer Analyst interfaces with
user departments to determine their needs and will assist in
coordinating the installation of new computer applications for
departments or business functions. This position provides sup****t to
users in assigned responsibilities and gives presentations to users
from time to time.
Requirements
* Bachelors in Computer Science, business, or a related field. * Must
have 5 or more years of programming experience in a business
environment, with 3 to 5 years of RPG ILE programming preferred. *
Must have 2 or more years of experience in programming design. * Must
have a strong knowledge of the AS/400 environment, RPG IV, ILE, CL,
database, subfile processing, query, and SQL. * Some experience/
exposure desired with the following: Java, HTML, WEBsphere (Webfacing,
Websphere Server, Architecture, and Configuration). * Experience in
performing analysis. * Knowledge of system life cycle. * Must posses
excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relate well to all
levels of users, understand, express, and do***ent ideas, and train
coworkers. * Must possess excellent project management and
organizational skills to plan projects from beginning to end, work
within tight deadlines, and meet deadlines. * Must have excellent
problem-solving and analytical skills to arrive at creative solutions,
anticipate problems, and use logic and a methodical process of problem
solving which includes considering a variety of solutions. * Must be
able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. * Must be
willing to be flexible with work schedule to get job done, as
required.
