Position name: Application Programmer/Analyst - Senior Java Developer

Skill Set Required-
=B7 Required-J2SE (Intermediate 5-6 Within 1 Year 1 - 2 Years ),
=B7 Java (Intermediate 5-6 Within 1 Year 1 - 2 Years )
=B7 Additional Skills: must have the ability to work within the
team.
=B7 Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and
written.
=B7 Ability to work independently.
=B7 Core Java skills means skills from the J2SE toolkit. These
would include items like Threading, Concurrency, and Collections.
=B7 The problem is that J2SE is a subset of J2EE (IE the same
skills apply to both), however utilization of these skills is
different in a J2EE (IE Web environment) and they don't really apply
to what our client does.
Job description-
=B7 Perform as designer and developer applying Object-oriented
methodology and Java-technology.
=B7 Build components for re-use.
=B7 Act as a senior developer able to work both independently
and as a member of a team solving problems and implementing solutions.
=B7 Provide input technical architectural direction when needed.
Comments: this is for ePRS ongoing projects.
=B7 Develop internal Java based applications for the ePRS
(electronic Price Re****ting System) which consists of multiple
projects defined by the business.
=B7 Ongoing unit testing and deployment of code releases to the
QA environment as required.
=B7 Sup****t the QA staff in resolving any issues that arise and
coordination of code releases.
=B7 Prepare appropriate technical do***entation required for
application development and sup****t deployment to production.
Experience-
=B7 Apply a full-life cycle development process, such as the
Rational Unified Process or IConix.
=B7 This includes the use of UML, Use Cases, Sequence and Class
Diagramming.
