Web Developer/ US Citizen/ Contract/ Ft Wayne IN
We are seeking a Web Developer who fits the description below. The rate is
in the $50hr range 1099, or the W2 equivalent. There are no expenses, so a
local or regional candidate is preferred. Embedded experience is a plus,
but
not mandatory.
This is a three to six month contract. We are shooting for a Feb. starting
date. The op****tunity may exist for a ****tion of the work to be done by
telecommute once the developer has proven himself. One MUST be a US
Citizen.

SpearNet radio has an embedded internal web server to provide a user
interface for radio monitoring and configuration. We are re-working the
server and content to a more flexible and maintenance-friendly scheme.
The
task involves installing a complete new web engine, ****ting all existing
content and creating new web content for new features that are currently
under definition. The will be strong emphasis on creating a framework
that
will facilitate long-term maintenance, allow easy customization for
individual customers and provide for content in multiple languages. The
web
pages will contain controls for the configuration of an embedded device;
therefore they need to make efficient use of the limited radio's
resources.
The ideal candidate will be a professional web developer that has solid
experience in content development in the following areas:
Lighttpd web server - running under Linux 2.4
FastCGI & C-language CGI programs
XML
XSLT
CSS
Any experience in embedded development is desirable but not necessary. We
don't want a human factors engineer or graphics artists, but we will favor
software developers with experience developing user interfaces with good
quality considerations of human factors and aesthetics.
No security clearance is required for this position, but one must be a US
citizens due to the complications with getting access to our lab for final
integration.
