Senior Software Developer/Application Architect
Description: Responsibilities: Maintain, enhance and create
applications, infrastructure and Frameworks for the Microsoft.NET
platform with C#. Architect Solutions from both, an Enterprise
Application Framework Perspective and a problem solving perspective
Iteratively manage and execute different stages of the Software
Development Life Cycle from inception, elaboration, analysis, design,
implementation, unit testing, integration testing, configuration
management, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance and transition
Troubleshoot applications through effective execution evaluation-
profiling, logging, monitoring Adherence to industry standard software
development policies and procedure, HIPPA, SARBANES and PCI is a must
Strong configuration management skills /SCM processes Implement, learn
and enhance processes with Enterprise Design Patterns, specifically
Microsoft.NET Design Patterns Exercise Development Methodologies-RUP
or OMT preferred with focus on design skills Understand data flow and
process flow to enhance/automate Business Processes. Implement
applications that are intuitive and effective towards Business
Processes and Data Flow. Communicate with Business Users and IT Users
effectively in a Team environment to ensure quality translation of
Requirements into Software Deliverables. Act as a mentor. Investigate,
learn and int roduce new thchnologies. Qualifications: Skill Set: Work
with Windows Applications, Web Applications, and Service Oriented
Applications in the .NET Framework Implement/transition solutions
between .NET Frameworks 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 Implement Cross-Platform
solutions to achieve interoperability both between varying
architectures and legacy applications on the same architecture Must
have sound Dbase skills from analysis to design. Write stored
procedures, triggers for SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase platforms
Specialization in Oracle is preferred Specialization in MS SQL Server
is preferred Must have knowledge of Microsoft Development Environments/
IDEs. Use tools effectively to deliver solutions Knowledge of both
Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 Development Environments Sound
Analysis skills. Perform effective process flow and entity analysis on
applications and databases and should be able to figure out entities
and relation****ps by looking at the internal database schema Must have
SQL Optimization skills-should be able to use EXPLAIN PLANS, SHOWPLAN,
and should be able to write efficient SQL by using proper indexing and
should be well versed in Stored Procedure and SQL debugging and
troubleshooting. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and
Desktop environments. Sound knowledge of FTP, SFTP, PGP, Telnet and
HTTP/HTTP Auth protocols. Experience in writing PCI/HIPPA/SARBANES
compliant applications. Ability to perform due diligence and judgment
when dealing with data and maintaining compliance during any data-
driven implantation. The ability to use tools like Rational SODA, nDoc
to effectively do***ent application implementation and Business
Processes is required. Knowledge of EDI implementation with sound
knowledge of XML-driven Applications is a plus.
