SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to install low voltage wiring
and associated devices for the operation of SimplexGrinnell equipment
as well as provide guidance and direction to lower level installers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to forty pounds.
Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as
climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to forty
feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
* Follow verbal and written instructions, read and interpret complex
construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in
installation activities.
* Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to install all required
boxes, wiring, panels, and devices as directed and/or specified.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of
all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work. Wear appropriate
safety equipment as required including hats and shoes.
* Properly secure all SimplexGrinnell tools and equipment at the end
of each work period so as to prevent damage or loss.
* Review project drawings and obtain all facts necessary to perform
installation activities according to specifications. Review and become
knowledgeable of the project schedule in order to meet required time
tables. Attend all required site meetings involved with installation
activities.
* Meet with code officials to arrange for personnel licensing,
building permits and to discuss the intended wiring methods.
* Coordinate the installation activities with other trades at the work
location to optimize installation time.
* Complete and submit time re****ts and other do***ents as required.
* Bring to the immediate attention of the supervisor all changes,
discrepancies and coordination problems that impair installation
activities or schedule.
* May be required to work alternative ****fts or weekends to meet
customer installation requirements.
* Perform other duties as directed.
