Job Description
The mandate of the Information Quality Management (IQM) Group in
Cardholder
Services is to develop people, process and technology strategies to ensure
that the quality of information assets within CHS facilitates and sup****ts
the attainment of the business goals and objectives.The strategies evolve
around on the 3 key pillars of Information Quality Management of
Prevention,
Improvement and Monitoring.
The Information Quality Analyst will participate in a series of
initiatives
that sup****t the effective rollout and implementation of IQM's strategies
and recommendations, including: providing subject matter expertise and
guidance on the topic of Information Quality during projects delivery,
providing Information Quality *****sment services to various stakeholders
within the Cards business, contributing to the department's Teach and
Preach
service and managing on behalf of the business units the effective and
timely resolution of re****ted information quality issues.
The accomplishment of the department's mandate is heavily dependent on the
group's ability to establish a partner****p with the business and
demonstrate
tangible practical benefits to the day to day operations and business
drivers. Moreover, it requires cross functional interactions with
information stakeholders and suppliers within and outside of DSS.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILIEIS
.. Develops a framework that leverages the Data Profiling Technology to
help
the organization move towards a proactive approach for managing
information
quality. He/she is experienced in using the profiling techniques to
analyze
data characteristics, developing clear & concise presentations of the
analytic work to the information stakeholders, identifying root causes,
quantifying impacts to the business and recommending practical remedies
.. Develops quality metrics to help monitor the quality of key information
on
a going forward basis
.. Raises timely awareness about any discovered issues and works
collaboratively with the cross functional information stakeholders and
supplies to develop sustainable remedies
.. Research the industry's best practices in the area of information
quality
management and proactively makes suggestions to the team to help
incor****ate
relevant practices into the day to day operations
.. Designs, generates and publishes the departmental data quality re****ts,
metrics and graphs
.. Conducts a standard and ad-hoc audit of all monthly and weekly
marketing
campaigns, alerting the marketing clients and suppliers to any existing
data/process gaps that should be addressed to mitigate the risk of
incorrect
solicitations to customers, delays, added costs or legal risks.
Qualifications
Education
.. An information management professional with 5-7 years of experience in
the
field of information management, preferably with a strong statistical
background
Technical
.. Demonstrated experience with Data Profiling technologies and best
practices (i.e. standards, measurement , monitoring , analysis ) is a must
(3-5 years)
.. Demonstrated understanding of the concepts and principles of managing
information assets (i.e. Information Life Cycle, Steward****p , Total
Quality
Management )
.. Previous Experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant in a
data
warehousing environment is highly preferred
.. Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts, data
integration principles and factors contributing to information quality
challenges
.. Computer Skills: Microsoft Power Point , Excel, Word, SQL
Experience in:
.. gathering needs and framing business solutions with client groups and
LOB's
.. meeting with clients and users and building and maintaining
relation****ps
Solid Knowledge of the credit card industry and previous experience in
dealing with data in the credit card business(mandatory)
