This position requires several years of practical experience in actual
accounting roles coupled with experience in implementing middle market
financial applications (such as Epicor/Platinum, Great Plains, MAS 500,
SAP,
Oracle, etc.) and working in consulting and product sup****t role. The
individual will work as part of a team and under the direction of a
project
lead. The individual be responsible for on-site implementations of
business
applications that are small to medium in size, but extremely complex.
Knowledge of all aspects of a financial operation, including: Order
Management, Inventory Control, Revenue Recognition for contract driven
sales
as well as A/R, A/P, G/L and the required workflow amongst these
application
areas is required. Ability to lead whiteboard sessions with financial
management (CFO level) as well as ability to discuss the details (debit
and
credit level) of transactions is required. System and configuration
designs
can involve multiple products. The position involves working on multiple
implementations concurrently and requires the ability to travel. There is
no
coding involved in this position
Key Responsibilities
The position involves serving in the key role of assuring customer
satisfaction during the implementation process by participating in key
implementation activities either as a team member or individual
contributor.
Responsibilities include the preparation of systems design do***ents and
working with the customer to apply best practices to their system
configuration efforts and organize application pilot testing activities
with
the customer. The candidate will be involved in project scheduling with
the
customer and the internal project manager, delivery of implementation
services and product training, the development of sup****ting do***entation
as requested by the customer and for custom consulting services as well as
collaboration with appropriate resources to assure the success of the
implementation. The ability to communicate with customers is vital, as is
the capacity to define and translate business needs into system usage and
design specifications.
5 years systems implementation experience
3 years Business/Accounting application implementation experience
Practical experience in an Accounting role such as Controller, VP of
Finance, Accounting Manager
Excellent communication (Oral & written) and organizational skills
Experience as a member of a professional team providing consulting
services
Experience with GUI-based and Web-based applications
BS with Accounting major
MS Windows and MS Office fluency
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of Client/Server and Web-centric architectures
MBA and/or CPA
SQL experience and RDBMS familiarity with MS SQL Server or Oracle
Experience in do***enting customer business needs for application
customizations
