Length of Assignment: Full-time Permanent
Job Description:
• Oversees a project team by managing, planning and re****ting on assigned
projects.
• Works with the Directors, Managers, and/or Senior Project Manager to
develop work estimates, work
breakdown structures and the project work plan; participates in the
development of a consolidated work plan for
implementations that may involve multiple projects
• Implements and completes projects as assigned, transfers end products to
sup****t staff
• Provides input on project team development; schedules work assignments;
communicates project
objectives;
schedules assignment reviews; coordinates and delegates project
activities; provides input on team member
performance to appropriate manager
• Proactively manages and communicates project risks and issues; makes
solution recommendations to
teams
regarding issues/barriers to project success; recommends solutions to
conflicts and issues between multiple teams
• Investigates and analyses requests and/or issues as assigned
• Develops and do***ents and communicates project priorities;
updates/maintains records of project
completion targets, milestones and budget
• Guides and motivates project team(s)
• Re****ts on project progress
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 5 - 8 years work experience in information systems management
development leader****p
• Knowledge of industry standards including ACORD Life & Annuity, FundSERV
• Technical project management and development experience including J2EE,
XML, WebSphere, WSAD,
Visual Basic, DB2, SQL
Desirable Qualifications:
• Knowledge of current and legacy application systems including CAPS-I-L,
Ingenium, and Fasat
• Knowledge of industry standards including ACORD Life & Annuity, FundSERV
• PMP is an asset
Education Requirements:
Completion of a university degree with courses in networks, programming,
operating systems, systems analysis,
computer architecture, distributed systems, system performance evaluation
