Senior Software Developers
Location: Ottawa and Toronto
Salary: $110 -125K plus bonus & stocks
Responsibilities:
Re****ting to the Manager of Product Development, the primary role of
the
Software Developer, is to be responsible for the design, development
and
enhancement of the Client's product and solution components. The
successful
candidate will work closely with all developers, testers and network
engineers.
Participate in the specification of product requirements and system
design;
Perform detail analysis of product requirements;
Provide high level design, detail design and high quality code for
subsystems/components;
Follow internal product development process;
Deliver appropriate design and development testing do***entation;
Review software detail design and implementation;
Estimate development effort to sup****t detail project planning;
Provide technical sup****t for system test and customer sup****t teams;
Review customer do***entation;
Plan and track all assigned development activities;
Provide technical leader****p and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
Sr Software Developer must have 7 years exper developing software
products for the Telecom industry is required;
Exper with formal software development processes (source code
management,
bug and problem tracking, release and load building etc);
Full life cycle exper with object-oriented design/development
methodologies
(RUP);
OOA&D tools exper (IBM Rational Rose and/or Borland Together);
5 years of commercial large scale software development exper in C++;
Understanding of VoIP technologies, network architecture and related
applications;
Exper with SIP and 3GPP IMS based service architecture;
2 years development exper with telephony standards (SIP or ISUP/TCAP)
and
call control services;
Understanding of SS7 network based IN concept and applications in PSTN
(INAP) and wireless networks (CAP or WIN)
Vendor exper: Lucent, Ericsson, Siemens, Cisco, Nortel, Avaya, etc
Excellent communications;
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Working on commercial software products;
Assets:
Telecommunication and networking protocol design, development and
testing;
Understanding service interworking;
Knowledge and exper with product and solution with OAM&P
functionalities
