Job Description:
The main responsibilities for this position are:
•Senior Firmware Developer: product firmware
•Software Development team management
•Test sup****t (product validation and production test): special product
firmware and sup****ting PC applications
•R&D activities: Development of new algorithms (new controls, new hardware
peripherals and sensing technologies)
•Software do***entation
Mandatory Qualifications:
•Highly experienced with embedded microcontroller applications
•Excellent values with experienced team, communications and management
skills
•Good understanding of the hardware environment: electronic circuit
operation and components
•Excellent programming skills in C and assembly focusing on compact, fast
and highly reliable code
•Familiar with modular design approach and task assignment among several
team members
•Able to generate innovative solutions to application challenges including
the use of multiple level interrupts, timers
and
peripherals
•Exposure to watchdog techniques for guaranteed recovery from data errors
and code execution or hardware
functionality disruptions
•Familiar with the challenges of a mass produced product (virtually
bug-free code), firmware deadlines, maintenance
and quality assurance
•Good understanding of communication protocols: desirable familiarity with
IP/Ethernet, ZigBee, etc., for applications
such as Web enabled devices and wireless networks.
•Familiarity with hardware design and code that is tightly coupled with
hardware
Desirable Qualifications:
•Highly desirable: exposure to Microchip (PIC) families
•Exposure to control applications and sensor technologies
•Some familiarity with other high level languages, such as Visual Basic
Education Requirements:
•Engineering Degree or equivalent work related experience
