I have a op****tunity In Ottawa looking for the following skills:
Work Description: The contractor shall perform the following
tasks:
a.. Coordinate activities regarding circuit projects, assisting clients
with their requirements. Produce complete technical re****ts on the data
circuit engineering projects.
a.. Control, oversee and track data circuit implementation activities
for
national IT systems to ensure timely implementation and technical
compliance.
a.. Provide data circuit design solutions for non-Telephone Services
Renewal Project (TSRP) services.
a.. Provide circuit design oversight/quality control for circuits
provided
to projects via the TSRP contract.
a.. Log and record all the correspondence, engineering data and any
other
relevant information concerning the requirement, validation,
implementation,
co-ordination and testing of the requested data circuits using the
National
Telecommunications Management System (NTMS).
a.. Write circuit orders and draw circuit diagrams based on the
information provided in Requests for Services (RFS).
a.. Identify special assemblies or equipment required for delivering the
requested data circuits and liaises with LCMM and other staff for the
acquisition of required equipment.
a.. Liaise with Telecommunications Carriers, other contractors and
personnel to co-ordinate the provision and installation of requested data
circuits.
a.. Prepare messages, e-mails and memorandums to disseminate information
to involved personnel.
· Provide monthly progress re****ts and other re****ts as required
upon
request from the Technical Authority.
3 Contract Period: ASAP for a period of 20 Weeks.
6. Contractor Qualifications:
· Minimum 36 months demonstrated practical hands-on experience in
maintenance management and coordination activities related to network
design
of telecommunication data circuits/systems and provisioning projects.
a.. Possess a working knowledge of the Alcatel (ALCATEL) 5620 Network
Management System (NMS) or a similar system (i.e. Cisco). However,
preference will be given to the resource with working knowledge of the
ALCATEL 5620 NMS.
a.. Possess a working knowledge of the Alcatel (ALCATEL) 36XX//26XX/27XX
family of hardware.
a.. Possess a working knowledge of data communications and
telecommunications principles.
· Possess a minimum of 2 years of work experience using Windows
2000,
the MS Office Suite applications (including MS-Word, MS-Excel and
MS-Outlook), MS Visio, the Intranet and the Internet browsers (Internet
Explorer).
· Language: English
· Security Clearance: Level II
