Mandatory:
* 10 or more years business analysis experience;
* Direct working experience with business rules repositories;
* Experience conducting JAD sessions and structured interviews;
* Demonstrated ability and/or training in specfying business
requirements using the method of use cases;
* Ability to read COBOL;
* Demonstrated ability to grasp complex ideas and technical
environments quickly;
* Experience in the identification, quantification and qualification
of metrics assocaited with business processes;
* Understanding of business modeling techniques/tools;
* Experience in data analysis and statistical analysis;
* Experience in one or more of the following areas:
~ Business process re-engineering;
Business case development and cost/benefit analysis;
~ Feasibility studies;
~ Performance management ;
~ Understanding business goals and defining specific metrics for
measuring successful achievement of them;
~ Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of
user-requirements and the development of specifications;
* Knowledge or experience in the use of Computer Aided Software
Engineeering (CASE) tools to do***ent conceptual requirements and
scope;
* Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies;
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
oral and written communications skills, inter-personal and negotiation
skills;
* A team player with a proven track record for meeting strict
deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Project manager, the Business Analyst
will:
* Develop Gap Analysis do***entation by conducting analysis and
reviewing system implementations to determine the gaps that exist
between the business intent and the system implementation;
* Prepare and deliver "Use Case" training to client resources;
Develop use cases to concretely identify all possible, distinct
scenarios in which each business rule appears;
* Develop Need Analysis Statement by conducting user interviews to
determine the needs to better identify the type of tool that would
meet current and future needs of both the business and IT areas;
* Develop a Business Case by performing analysis and an enviromental
scan (in conjunction with IT resources) to determine the best tools
and to communicate options, costs, and recommendations;
* Once the tool is chosen:
~ Do***ent the requirements for the repository (may include modeling
the business rules and applicable mapping);
~ Recommend the owner of the repository and do***ent the roles and
responsibilities of the "Rules Administrator";
~ Prepare an implementation plan to implement the rules repository;
Work with client resources during the term to ensure appropriate
knowledge transfer via training, walkthroughs, do***entation, etc.;
* Develop and maintain project plans and issue logs;
* Prepare and submit bi-weekly status re****ts.
