Java Developer
Description
Will build custom application for engineering department. Will do
data analysis on production data. Current work is done in Java 1.5
and J2SE.
Oracle data base development. Duties will include Linux
configuration and setting up windows servers.
60% New development
20% Maintenance
20% System Admin
Experience
First criteria: must have the Java development, Jboss, and Tomcat
experience is required!!
Second criteria: must have current for past experience with Linux
configuration, configuring to firewall, adding users, and Linux
installations
-Java=5 years
-Web Services =2-3 years, preference is Apache Axis, but would look
Java Web Services
-UML =1-2 years (minimum would be some type of integration tool)
-Windows Admin =1 year
-Linux =1 year (is a plus)
-****tal (is a plus)
-JBoss (is a plus)
Strong Java *(web services)
Apache Axis+ (but will look at or Java Web services)

Not looking for an enterprise developer that has just done Java
code. This person needs to be familiar with operating systems. He
or she should know how to do an Apache install and configuration.
Familiar with OS, apache install, configuring, Linux or minimum
windows admin.
Web UML, any type of integration tool: Web Logic, etc.
Oracle 10g is their database. Will look at 9i experience, however.

Incase the company wants you to meet people on the team at the last
minute, you will be prepared.
Dress professionally. For guys this usually means a suit and tie. If
you are unable to wear a suit and tie, please wear a long sleeve ****rt
with a tie.
Do not say anything negative about you past employer and boss.
Make sure you tell each person you conclude the interview with that
you want the job. This is one of the most im****tant things you can
do.
Research the company and what they do. Familiarize yourself with the
company's products. Companies want to hire people who want to work
for THEIR company and not just people who are looking for a job with
any generic company.
