Senior QA Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful Senior Quality Assurance Specialist candidate will have
solid experience with testing automation tools and possess the ability
to cross train and mentor other team members on automation best
practices, scripting and use of tools. Day-to-day you will be assigned
to multiple projects within a Business Unit. You will represent the QA
department in a project team capacity, and will be responsible for
quality advocacy, planning, implementation, testing and validation,
quality re****ting and metrics. Our ideal QA Specialist will be an
active contributor in a collaborative team environment, and passionate
about the quality of our work, our clients, and our culture.
Responsibilities: =95 Act as QA representative on project teams =95
Monitor project compliance to standards and guidelines =95 Generate QA
resource estimates =95 Verify that project do***entation is sufficiently
detailed to sup****t development of QA materials =95 Develop product test
plans, test scripts and checklists =95 Coordinate appropriate test
environments, equipment, etc. =95 Perform integration, functionality,
system, regression, load and acceptance testing using manual methods
and testing tools =95 Perform server log file and database verification
=95 Perform business and functional requirements verification =95 Detailed
verification of product content and presentation =95 Record all test
results, and completely do***ent defects and system errors =95
Continually search out new technologies and processes to improve QA
functions =95 Some administration of testing and QA tools =95 Training and
mentoring others in the use of testing and QA tools and processes
REQUIRED SKILLS:
=95 At LEAST 3 years of experience in the following: =95 Software test
automation tool (s) =95 Formal software test methods and Quality
Assurance programs =95 Preparation or formal test plans, test cases and
bug re****ting =95 Formal testing techniques such as regression,
integration, load, usability, etc. =95 Web testing experience =95 SQL
experience =95 Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
=95 Meticulous nature; displaying a penchant for detail and precision =95
Exceptional teamwork skills, sense of humour and a positive attitude
Desired Skills: =95 Experience with web development (HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, and such) =95 Experience conducting or facilitating
walkthroughs and inspections =95 Unix knowledge =95 Formal software
testing training or certification
