QA Engineer
Required skills Possess excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal. Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions. Must be
able to work in a team environment and have good customer service
skills. Must have good Microsoft Office skills.
Desired skills Nonconforming Material Review experience, SAP
experience, and basic understanding of Cause and Effect Analysis. Have
familiarity of Military, Federal and Industry Specifications and
Standards. Good working knowledge of GD&T and all close tolerance
measuring equipment used to measure complex assemblies.
Specific Job Description Perform Material Review activities on non-
conforming hardware. Interface with Procurement, Material,
Engineering, and Program/Product Center Quality Assurance to assist in
the proper disposition of discrepant hardware. Pursue effective cause
and corrective action to prevent reoccurance of discrepancies. Create
and maintain receiving inspection instructions used in the validation
of Quality and Specification requirements of purchased components and
materials. Work with Senior Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers
and Materials and Process Engineers to address trend issues in the
Inspection and Test areas. Provide inspection process oversight,
collect and analyze metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement
activities. Must have experience using Microsoft Office software,
especially Excel and Powerpoint. The candidate must possess strong
interpersonal and communication skills, as well as be able to
establish good working relation****ps with internal and external
customers.
Standard Job Description Develops, modifies, applies and maintains
quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially
finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering
and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing
and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production
equipment. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and
equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical
analysis to *****s the cost of and determine the responsibility for,
products or materials that do not meet required standards and
specifications. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable
reliability standards and that do***entation is compliant with
requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming
material, production control, product evaluation and reliability,
inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to
product or process quality.
