QUALITY ASSURANCE LEAD Duties & Responsibilities 1. Coordinates the
testing of large, cross sectional quality assurance testing projects.
Develops implementation and back out plans. Develops, defines, and
continually improves quality assurance testing procedures. 2. Under
minimal guidance, develops test plans, conditions and cases used in
testing based on business standards and end-user specifications and
requirements. Participates in walkthroughs related to the projects(s)
to be tested. Conducts quality assurance testing to ensure that the
application software systems function properly and according to the
business standards and end-user specifications and requirements.
Identifies and do***ents problems detected with testing process. Re-
tests problems when resolved. Provides further do***entation on the
resolution of the problems. 3. Acts as the technical advisor on issues
when testing the application software system, as well as handles
project management and resolves testing issues for projects. Promotes
cooperation, negotiation and communication among and within teams. 4.
Effectively do***ents any problems resulting from the testing of
software application systems. Ensures that all problems are
communicated to all members of the project team including programmers,
project analysts, and/or quality assurance analysts. Provides further
do***entation to note when problems were resolved. 5. Re-tests
original problems to ensure their resolution. Provides further
do***entation to note when problems were resolved or if others were
discovered. 6. Trains, coaches, and leads QA teams of associates as
assigned. Provides leader****p, and facilitates discussion,
cooperation, negotiation and communication within teams. Train new
hires as needed. 7. Complies with, communicates and enforces standards
wherever applicable in all assignments, including change management.
Participates in developing and maintaining standards using the ISSD
standards process. 8. Leads in the design and development of test beds
and implements processes for updating test beds 9. Performs other
related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, general Management
Information Systems, or related field, or a combination of work in an
operations environment and educational experience that demonstrates a
thorough experience independently testing of all application software
systems, in addition to be able to lead project teams. Typically,
in***bents have 8-12 years of direct experience functioning in a
quality assurance environment and demonstrate experience or ability at
effectively leading quality assurance project teams. In***bents should
be very knowledgeable with work performed in an operational
environment and the ability to understand how data processing/
information systems expedite work processes. In***bents should have
significant experience in technical systems testing, analytical
techniques and a working knowledge of structured testing methodology
and various software testing tools is required. In***bents should
possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to present information within a public setting. In***bents
should also be able to function independently as well as an
effectively team member.
