question: glow in the dark mountain dew?

by "yank" <dzankes@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Oct 7, 2007 at 11:54 PM

I gues there are some chemists among you
(I can't find a pure chemistry related newsgroup)
I have seen this video
http://www.ubiq.tv/view,glow-in-the-dark-mountain-dew,233.html
and I'm wondering can this work and what would be the
science behind this reaction
Mountain dew (containing ???- I can't think of anything
special beside perhaps fosforic acid or the like - similar to
other cola products) + baking soda + peroxide and it supposedly
glows bright green
Or is this a fake and instead of the baking soda the guy used some
other chemical?
