Application Engineer
Looking for a qualified, motivated individual to join our staff. This
individual will work closely with the Sales department to determine
customer requirements and prepare quotations for custom products.
Additional duties will also include participating on teams involved in
cost reduction, Lean, ISO, and supplier qualifications. We are looking
for an engineering graduate with up to two years of experience in
rotating equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prices customer quotations
based upon historical data, establishes estimated production hours,
material cost, subcontract cost and test costs. Maintains pricing
records. * Assigns quotation lead times based upon customer
requirements, current manufacturing schedules, material lead times and
product mix. * Follows up by phone on quotations to determine our
competitiveness in the marketplace and win/loss status. * Interfaces
with application, design, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and other
our personnel to ensure customer quotation requirements and
specifications are understood. * Assists and disseminates product
information through technical presentations, written or verbal
communication to customers. * Participates and/or manages various
cor****ate projects, such as Lean Initiatives, Supplier Development,
and Cost reduction initiatives. * Duties as assigned by the Sales
Manager QUALIFICATIONS: * BS in engineering degree from accredited
university. * New Graduate to two years experience in design or
service in rotating equipment industry preferred. * Excellent
communication skills, self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable,
extroverted personality, well organized. * Willingness to travel to
visit customers in the U.S. and Foreign Countries
