Tester/ Quality Assurance Coordinator
Seeking a full-time Tester/QA Coordinator The Quality Analyst is
responsible for developing test plans and test methodologies that
ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned applications and ensures
compliance with system specifications in order to maintain and enhance
new and existing systems.
Job Duties: 1. Evaluate and test new software programs to make sure
they work as designed by developing test plans, simulating how an
average user would put to use the new program, and examining designer
specifications and user requirements to uncover bugs. 2. Create
quality assurance tests used to evaluate and test new software
programs. Review business requirements and the business analysis to
develop scenarios and expected results. 3. Communicate problems
encountered during testing and suggest solutions for fixing bugs. 4.
Record, investigate and evaluate production problems by understanding
the sequence of commands that led to the re****ted problem. 5.
Duplicate the problem in the testing environment and perform in-depth
tests in order to diagnose the bug. 6. Offer suggestions to make
application interfaces friendlier to users. 7. Discuss areas of
impact, testing methodology, requirements, and problem resolution with
business analysts, business users, and programmers. 8. Coordinate sign
off efforts to move projects into production. 9. Create a set of
regression test cases, so they can be automated through test tools.
10. Use automated test tools to facilitate regression testing.
Skills Required: - Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent
experience - Two to three years of insurance experience required -
Strong PC proficiency - Strong organizational, time management and
analytical skills - Strong oral and written communication skills -
Previous experience in testing preferred - Previous experience using
automated test tools a plus
