Software Quality Engineer
Education and/or Special Training =95 B.S. or higher in Computer Science
or Engineering Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Job Description The
Software Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing a software
quality assurance and software validation process for medical devices
developed at Endoscopy. The Software QE is responsible for all aspects
of software quality and configuration management. Software QE will be
responsible for driving best practices into the product development
process to ensure performance, reliability and maintainability of
product software. =95Participate in development of software
specifications including definition of user needs. =95Drive
configuration management process; develop related business processes
and procedures. =95Establish and do***ent test methods and test
specifications including code review. =95Define and develop test cases,
scripts, automated testing, perform testing and do***ent results.
=95Continuously improve and develop software development process for the
business. =95Perform risk management and FMEA for software. =95Manage off-
site (outsourced) software testing/maintenance team. Qualifications/
Work Experience =95At least 2 years work experience in software quality
assurance and testing. =95 B.S. or higher in Computer Science or
Engineering Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux OS, C++, Java,
Clearcase, embedded programming. =95 Commitment to excellence and high
standards =95 Excellent written, oral communication, organizational,
problem-solving, and analytical skills =95 Versatility, flexibility, and
a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with
enthusiasm =95 Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of
individuals at all organizational levels.
Desired Qualifications: =95 Knowledge of applicable international
regulations and standards (QSR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304). =95 Quality
Assurance training/ ASQ certification. =95 Experience developing
software in a CMMI level 3 or higher process.
