Title: Security Architect
Location: Mississauga, ON
Duration: 4+months
Client: Financial.
Responsibilities for the Security Architect will include:
The candidate must have detailed knowledge of network, system and
application security methods, controls and techniques. He/She must be
able to understand and analyze a wide range of technologies and be
able to provide a solid analysis of them.
The candidate must have experience with the Architecture role. He/She
must have also performed TRA=92s (Threat Risk *****sments). Must have
worked in a large complex environment and must be comfortable
interfacing with a large team.
The candidate must possess thorough knowledge of the following
concepts
=95 Network Security including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Routing,
Access Control, link encryption.
=95 Application Security including analysis of application data flows
and data storage as well as understanding common application protocols
(HTTPS, SSL..etc)
=95 System Security including OS Hardening, Password policies, user
permissioning Virus/Spyware technologies.
Additional Responsibilities:
=95 Help categorize data sensitivity
=95 Help do***ent risks and risk mitigations
=95 Work with the Architecture team to represent the security objectives
of the program
=95 Work with Cor****ate Audit to ensure that compliance is achieved
=95 Work as a consultant to other teams to ensure that security
standards are included in the final end-state.
=95 Perform regular *****sments of the environment and its applications
to do***ent any risks.
=95 Provide reviews/approvals of firewall rules
=95 Review technical design and build do***entation to ensure adherence
to security standards.
=95 Do***ent processes and procedures including deviation requests.
Background Requirements:
=95 B. S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
experience
=95 Minimum 3 years of Security related experience
=95 Minimum 7 years of experience within I.T preferably in network, UNIX
or application senior roles.
=95 Strong communication skills.
