Job Description
MSC Maplesoft Consulting, Inc., is currently looking to identify a
MediaWiki consultant for a contract job op****tunity with one of our
key clients.
The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements;
=95 Raise the level of technical confidence within the department by
transferring your expertise and knowledge to employees in the
following MediaWiki areas:
o Installation and initial configuration
o Backup and restore of content
o Ongoing maintenance: how to complete updates, upgrades and how to
apply security patches
o Enabling the creation of inter-language links (similar to the
Wikipedia setup)
o Customization of the look and feel of the MediaWiki installation
o Providing advice on MediaWiki LDAP authentication
o Providing advice on group-based access control
o Providing advice on MySQL in relation to MediaWiki
=95 Raise the level of "wiki gardening" confidence by transferring your
knowledge to employees in the following MediaWiki areas:
o Providing advice on how to best leverage MediaWiki content
architecture features such as Namespaces, Transclusion, and Templates
o Providing advice and "know-how" in creating and maintaining great
looking MediaWiki home pages.
