Software Developer IV #3754<br> The Software Developer IV will
determine approaches of specific software for the project
end-user embedded and computer software configuration items and
data management software applications. Responsibilities include
evaluation of rotating, multi-megawatt, variable speed machines,
with coupled electric motor/generators, water turbines and disc
brakes involving real time acquisition of several hundred data
points from digital images, variable frequency power electronics,
real time controls, and operator interfaces. The position also
requires diagnosis of abnormalities; prognosis of incipient
conditions that may eventually lead to failures; and corrective
and preventive maintenance planning and recording.<br> Great

Typically requires a BS, MS, or PhD in an engineering field and
minimum software development experience as follows: seven or more
years with a BS, five years or more years with an MS, or two or
more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent experience in
lieu of education. Must have a strong conceptual understanding of
software development concepts, theory, and operations.
Demonstrates complete understanding and application of
programming and analysis concepts with the ability to organize,
plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet
established deadlines or milestones. Must posses the ability to
understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately
throughout an evolving environment, and develop leader****p
skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal
skills are required enabling an effective interface with other
