Steel company in Santa Ana is looking for a controller!!
Knowledge of Timberline & Peachtree accounting software systems.
-Will work under the general supervision of the CFO and also
re****t to
the President.
-May oversee in supervisory role another accountant or accountant
assistant/aide.
-Will establish and maintain accounts; will review records and
make
corrections to ensure accurate accounting records and checks
general ledger from books of detailed entries;
-assists in the preparation, analysis and review of estimates of
revenues, reimbursements, expenditures, or other proprietary and
budgetary accounts; collections, logs and re****ts; analyzes
and verifies financial re****ts & statements, accounts and records
of expenditures and revenues; handling of payroll taxes and their
concise records; other fiduciary types of taxes and their
records.
-assists with the preparation of accounting and management
control
re****ts;
-handles assets transfers among activities;
-organizes and directs and controls the retention of historical
accounting and legal records, ensuring that all info. is safely
stored and available on short notice.
-Prepares various re****ts upon request from CFO, and President.
Education/Experience:
- Prefer bachelor s degree in accounting/business administration
from an accredited college or university;
-5-6 years of advanced professional accounting experience, with
strong
capabilities leading or at the Controller level; understanding
and knowledge of Timberline and Peachtree systems; knowledge also
in the construction field, a plus.
Knowledge: Principles, practices, and methods of modern
accounting and auditing; principles and practices of
financial administration including re****ting; modern office
practices, procedures methods and accounting software systems,
such as timberline and Peachtree.
Skill: Examining and verifying financial do***ents and re****ts;
development of
accounting procedures and forms; working independently from
general instructions; communicating clearly and
concisely, orally and in writing; assisting in supervision
and training of subordinate accountant(s). Ability of assisting
in supervision & training of other lower level staff/personnel.
MBA desired but not required, 120-125 employees,$15-20 million in
