Summary:
As a Senior level Application Developer you will handle a variety of
responsibilities in a financial systems environment while working with
Internet related .NET web and database applications built with C#, ASP
and SQL Server 2000. A more detailed list of technical qualifications
is provided below. You will participate in coding, de-bugging, design,
architecture, specifications writing, unit-testing practices, and with
mentoring developers who are less senior. You must want to work in a
collaborative team oriented environment.Applicants must be able to
pass a thorough background and credit investigation.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Analyzing, maintaining and developing Software Systems*including new
and existing custom-database and Internet-related systems*used to
sup****t business goals
* Analyzing user specifications for workability, completeness and
business flow
* Participating in defining System Design, Architecture and
Specifications
* Performing project and task estimation
* Performing Coding/Programming tasks to specification and in
accordance with Development standards
* Do***enting and coding Technical artifacts
* Developing test plans and participating in Code Testing to ensure
workability, completeness, quality and *best practices*
* Researching and resolving Coding issues
* Participating in the design and development of databases and
websites
* Assisting in mapping-out of system dependencies
* Assisting in the development of standards and deployment of
applications
* Assisting in developing and running queries
* Leading small- to medium-sized projects
* Influencing final decisions that have a direct and relevant impact
on departmental, business-unit and/or companywide Information-Systems
* Providing analysis, recommendations, consultation and advice
* Creating current- and future-state models
* Designing components and performing complex Coding/Programming and
De-bugging
* Defining Unit-Testing *best practices*
* Performing System-Integration testing
* Performing and/or leading Code-Review and Design sessions
* Providing estimates for the completion time of assigned projects
* Mentoring and guiding staff
Qualifications:
* Bachelor*s (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science or Information
Technology (and/or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of Systems-Development experience
* 3-6 years of solid OO software development experience
* 1.5+ year hands on Microsoft .NET (C# and ASP.NET) experience.
* Strong HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, DTD/XML Schema experience.
* Very strong understanding of Database design and best practices
using Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
* Knowledge of component based/distributed application environments
(preferably .NET/COM+).
* Practical knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server and a clear
understanding of the .Net architecture.
