Precision Recruiting is currently engaged with this company to attract
a Network Administrator for the team in the Toronto, Ontario office.
What you will do:
This is a "global" role, meaning the person who takes this role will
need to travel maybe once or twice a quarter for usually one week at a
time but on occasion for 2 weeks at a time. Travel is mostly to Europe
(Sweden, France, Switzerland and Germany).
The Network Administrator is accountable for all aspects of the
following tasks:
=95 Design, deploy and maintenance of the global LAN=92s and WAN
environments.
=95 The maintenance of all networking devices (switches and routers)
globally working closely with the local Network administrators in
different locations.
=95 Make enhancements to VoIP and data communication infrastructure
within each site and over the WAN.
=95 Network connectivity enhancements, data related issues, enhancement
of all LAN and WAN setup.
=95 Responsible for maintenance and monitoring of all Firewalls globally
along with the site to site VPN tunnels and client VPN.
=95 Also responsible for other duties and projects that are assigned and
will work closely with the Network users and the rest of the IT Team.
Design and deploy new large scale and complex networks globally.
=95 Owner****p of Global LAN and WAN connectivity, maintenance,
monitoring and uptime health.
=95 Owner****p of configuration and maintenance of all network equipment
such as switches and routers globally.
=95 Owner****p of the maintenance of the global VoIP network.
=95 Provide network sup****t to users with VPN client, RAS access issue
=95 Provide key Network and Security sup****t to cor****ate LAN=92s and WAN
=95 Maintain, do***ent and create network diagrams and deployment
specifications
=95 Recommend and implement network security changes
=95 Test and do***ent various software updates on Firewall=92s, Routers
and switches
What is needed to succeed:
=95 University degree of Technical school diploma in relevant field
=95 5-7 years of overall IT experience with network deployment
experience
=95 Expert experience and knowledge of Network design, implementation,
administration, Cisco router, Catalyst switch, Nortel L3 core
switches, Baystack switches, and Contivity VPN hardware
=95 Expert experience with WAN/LAN technologies ATM, MPLS, Frame Relay
and IP Frame Relay
=95 Strong knowledge of Network protocols, TCP/IP, OSPF, RIP, Switching,
Trunking, VLAN, NAT, PAT, ACL, SNMP, Sniffer Analyzer and T1, T3,
Fiber and structured cabling
=95 Strong knowledge and experience deploying VoIP network components
using the SIP protocol
=95 2-3 years experience with Checkpoint VPN-1 Pro in distribution model
with perfect understanding of IKE encryption schemes, all Encryption
Algorithm and their data integrity
=95 2-3 years experience in a Network security sup****t role
=95 Relevant project management experience
=95 Strong organization and priority setting skills
=95 A good team player with strong analytical and problem solving
abilities with minimum supervision
=95 A positive attitude with creative thinking and willingness to
attempt a wide variety of tasks
