Business Consultant
The Business Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Consultant with
a take charge attitude, who will become an integral part of the core
team responsible for delivering the key current service offerings of
the group. These include cor****ate and functional business strategy,
new product development, and business case development.
Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a management
consulting, market analysis, or market research role.
Im****tantly, this candidate will have deep experience in quantitative
methods for business analysis, customer profiling segmentation and
scoring, and the ability to create financial models to *****s the
merit of a potential product or service op****tunity. In addition to
periodically conducting this work, the candidate would be expected to
oversee the work of others in this area.
She/he will have project management experience and have a proven track
record of leading small to medium sized teams in the execution of
projects. She/he will have strong problem-solving capabilities and
business a***en. She/he will also possess very strong communication
skills and be comfortable presenting to senior executives.
Responsibilities:
Client / project-related
- Proven track record of very strong customer focus
- Shapes client business strategies that create and maintain
sustainable competitive positions enabled by innovative technologies
and solutions
- Responsible for deliverables and for communicating results to client
- Ability to manage and maintain multiple priorities, and still meet
deadlines
- Foresee and address issues before they become problematic
- Operates easily in limited information environments
- Sup****t sales efforts
Subject matter-related
- Depth of understanding in CRM analytics (customer segmentation,
profiling, scoring) and database marketing (conduct analyses of
business data to understand growth/decline by customer, product,
sector)
- With some knowledge of accounting concepts, be able to construct 5
year pro forma financial models that describe the financial potential
of a given product or service op****tunity
- Ability to structure and execute a rigorous business case that would
sup****t a course of action (e.g. launching a product, implementing a
new technology, changing a process)
- Business case development would require experience conducting /
leading the following types of analysis: industry and market analysis;
product/service description; marketing, sales and service;
organization and operations; risks and mitigation strategies; and
creation of summary of financials and investment requirements
People-related
- Not just lead, but direct and motivate teams of consultants on small
to medium-sized engagements
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, within a
department and cross-functionally
- Provide ongoing leader****p, direction, mentoring and constructive
feedback as a coach to junior staff
