Title: Vendor Analyst

Length: 12 month contract

Max rate is 60/hr. This position re****ts into the Director of Vendor Mgmt,

Location: Brampton

Overview

Re****ts directly to and works under the direction of Vendor Management.
This
person will be responsible for assisting in the developing, implementing
and
operating the model for vendor management within the IT Division at Loblaw
Companies Limited.



General Duties and Responsibilities:



Communication (verbal & written)

>Keep appropriate people informed and up to date, such as team members,
senior management and the business on the status of contracts,
negotiations
and service agreements.

>Consult with IT leader****p team and key stakeholders on the vendor
management processes and effective techniques for successfully engaging
vendor resources.

>Understand and manage the communication of regulatory compliance issues.

Management - Projects/ Initiatives/ Programs/ Systems/ Processes

>Develop and maintain a process by which vendors are evaluated, selected
and
managed in accordance with established guidelines and best practices
(RFI/RFP, Scorecards, Performance Metrics, governance, issue
escalation/response processes, etc.).

>Manage the process for directing work toward the appropriate onshore or
offshore supplier.

>Manage inventory of all contracts and assets.

->Responsible for establi****ng and monitoring the vendor performance
against
contract terms and SLAs. Conduct periodic vendor review/evaluations that
consider project-level performance as well as holistic vendor
relation****p.

Negotiation

>Assist contract owners to negotiate with vendors to ensure that they are
providing us with cost effective solutions.

Relation****p Building Internal/ External

>Serve as primary liaison between Legal, IT and other key stakeholders in
the contract negotiation process. Act as a single point of contact for all
vendor contract activities.

>Assist contract owners to manage the relation****p with outsourcing
provider
s/vendors.

Work closely with the IT team and Goods Not for Resale Team to develop and
deliver continuous improvements to the quality, delivery and sup****t of
the
RFI, RFP and service level management measurements.

Strategic Planning

>Define and execute strategic sourcing goals, approaches and initiatives
to
sup****t and further LCL IT strategies and reduce total cost of owner****p.

>Full engagement in creating and developing departmental strategies that
aligns with the divisional and organizational vision.

>Take creative, calculated risks and make decisions to improve processes
that in turn benefit the business.

People Management

>Recruitment, direction and retention of resources.

>Encourage a sup****tive team environment as a leader while effectively
empowering others with corresponding accountability.

>Act as a positive role model, motivating employees, co-workers and the
business group to promote a high performance technical and business
focused
team.

Direction, management and coaching of employees, providing them with
challenges, giving them the op****tunity to learn and to be successful.

Conduct regular performance reviews of quality and in a timely manner,
discussing and assisting employees with their growth and development.



Knowledge and Skills Required:

Experience working with adherence to Service level agreements and written
agreements between the vendor and company.

Experience in developing and executing plans, meeting deadlines and
operating under time constraints.

High degree of competency with project management and software development
lifecycle best practices.

Track record of high performance and delivery through others.

Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, issue resolution,
negotiation, and customer relation****p management.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present business
and technical issues, ideas and recommendations clearly in verbal, written
and presentation format.

Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across
functional groups.

Ability to work with various levels of management within the organization
including the executive team.

Bachelor's or Masters degree is required

4 + years experience in technical vendor management for large scale system
initiatives and outsourcing, including negotiation, performance audits and
validation.

3-5 years management experience in an IT organization with experience in
strategy development and implementation, administration, and budget
analysis.

Grocery retail and or food distribution experience is a definite asset.
