LeverageTek urgently requires the services of a Project Manager for
their Ottawa based client.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years experience as a Project Manager
A minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager on Business
Intelligence projects, with a minimum of 3 separate and distinct
projects over that 5 years of experience.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the Financial Services industry
(either banking/insurance operations or banking/insurance
regulation) , with a minimum of 3 separate and distinct projects over
that 5 years of experience
A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing presentation
materials to enable effective communication of project status and
issues to senior management
Responsibilities:
Liasing with all levels of management and stakeholders to identify and
understand their business information requirements and their project
management requirements; ensuring that practical, cost-effective
solutions are designed, developed and/or acquired, and implemented
using project management disciplines to address the business
requirements.
Sup****ting and managing all aspects of the project/program using
formal Project Management Methodology. This would include:
Development of the project/program governance structure
Development of Project Charters
Development of Project Plans in conjunction with project/program Work
Stream Leads, ISOD Management and primary sup****t groups
Identification of the tasks and deliverables needed to effectively
scope, design and implement projects/programs
Identification of internal and external resource requirements across
all project/program work streams, throughout the project life cycle,
from design to close-out
Development and management of project/program workdays and financial
budgets
Review and re****t to ISOD Management and Project Steering Committees
(as required) on Plan deliverable status, budget and resources
status:
Manage completion of tasks and deliverables to ensure business and
technical objectives are met
Manage project/program and work stream deliverable dependencies
Manage deliverable status tracking and re****ting
Manage changes to the scope of the project/program using Change
Management processes and tools
Manage the project/program=92s resources effectively by:
Building a team of knowledgeable, professional and highly skilled
resources that can provide the required skill set and deliver quality
service on time, within budget and to specifications
Managing contractor resources to meet the statement of work
requirements of the project, as defined by Management
Develop, monitor, and adjust work plans and assignments, and
reallocate resources and priorities as necessary;
Development and management of the project/program=92s risk mitigation
process and strategy. This would include:
Ensuring new identified risks are logged in the Risk Register as
required; managing the timely resolution of risks; and ensuring that
the Risk Register is kept current as risks are assigned, mitigated or
retired
Issuing risk re****t monthly to the project/program as dictated by the
level of =93change=94 activity
Reviewing all risk mitigations and retirements to ensure adequate
resolution
Development and management of the project/program=92s issue resolution
process, which would include the following:
Working with the project/program=92s work stream leads to review project
issues and determine if there are any issues that need to be raised
for resolution
Reviewing issues and develop a resolution strategy
Maintaining the project/program issue log,
Ensuring that all project/program stakeholders identified as being key
participants in any issue resolution process are informed as to their
responsibilities on a timely basis
Distributing, reviewing, and referring to issue log during regularly
scheduled project/program status meetings, as appropriate
Management of communications throughout the project/program
Provide recommendation on the prioritization of projects/programs as
required
Establishment and management of the project/program Administration
organization, policy, practices, processes and procedures as required
Contribute to the development of service level objectives or service
level standards, in particular as they relate to solution delivery
Manage and participate in the establishment of the operational
transitioning plan to move the program/project to production sup****t
Conduct effective post-implementation reviews with the project/
program=92s stakeholders to understand and capture lessons learned,
benefits realization and best practices.
