LeverageTek urgently requires the services of a Web Specialist for
their Ottawa based client.Terms of Reference:
Works with the Project Manager to develop, track and achieve project
objectives and deliverables.
Designs solutions to meet requirements as communicated by senior
staff
Codes HTML to intranet look & feel requirements
Uses the features of the content management system to create dynamic
content for the intranet.
Using the detailed requirements, designs web sites that address user
needs.
Tests that the new or modified web sites function properly.
Develops sup****t do***entation following project guidelines and
templates
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years experience designing, developing and sup****ting
of web sites.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in web-based development with
knowledge and experience with the following:
Experience in analyzing web site functional requirements
Experience designing and coding web sites in HTML and CSS
Experience in web site user interface design
Knowledge of web site accessibility standards
Experience in testing web sites
Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and
written communications skills
Candidate must be able to provide knowledge transfer in the way of
do***entation and information for in-house staff to be able to
maintain & sup****t developed work
Experience in coding with Javascript and with at least one other
scripting language such as ASP or Oracle Universal Content Management
systems IDOC scripting
Experience using a number of technologies including:
HTML
CSS
ASP or IDOC (Oracle Content Management) or some other scripting
language (other than Javascript)
Javascript
Dreamweaver
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Adobe Photoshop Elements
Adobe Acrobat Standard
Previous experience with web content management system an asset
Duration: 7 months (potential 3 month extension)
Start Date: August 5, 2008
End Date: January 31, 2009
