LeverageTek urgently requires the services of a Business Analyst for
our Ottawa based customer.
The successful candidate will work to improve the efficiency of our
customer=92s payroll management process by implementing business process
improvements and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide an interface between the business and IT that can *****s
business needs and facilitate the implementation of technical
solutions.
Analyzing current business processes and recommending solutions to
streamline and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business
processes and services.
Establish and maintain effective relation****ps with functional user
groups and technical sup****t teams to fully define system requirements
and propose viable business solutions to meet project objectives.
Business process re-design, requirements analysis, fit-gap analysis,
business case development, do***entation, testing, communication and
change management.
Facilitate business process redesign, re-engineering and *****s
impacts of changes to other functional processes.
Identifying technology op****tunities and streamline business processes
to take advantage of new functionality.
Work with project management team to establish and monitor project
tasks and milestones.
Assist with facilitating communications and training needs in the use
of HR processes and systems.
Screening Criteria
Functional knowledge of the PeopleSoft HRMS application (version 8.0
or higher).
Five to ten years of relevant experience in payroll management and
business analysis.
University degree or a combination of education and relevant work
experience.
Skills & Knowledge
Demonstrated skills in applying leading edge technologies, cost
benefit analysis and experience in implementing innovative, efficient
and effective business system solutions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, at ease in group
presentations.
Strong customer service orientation and team player.
Demonstrated influencing and issue resolution abilities.
Experience leading system testing, including the development of test
plans and scripts.
Demonstrated experience as an effective and diplomatic liaison between
business and IT stakeholders.
Experience working with spreadsheets and databases with a track record
of accuracy and attention to detail.
High level of adaptability to changing environment.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Start Date: Mid-August
Contract Length: 6-8 months
