Mindwire has an immediates requirement for an IT Network/Server
Sup****t consultant for one of our Ottawa based, public sector clients.
DESCRIPTION:
Configure and integrate servers into existing network enclaves;
Assist with design and implementation of networks services, such as
mail, dns, ****tals and antivirus;
Connect and troubleshoot IT devices, to include but not limited to
servers and switches to networks;
Install and load applications and operating systems on standalone and
network servers;
Configure, troubleshoot, sup****t and administrate network services,
including but not limited to directory services, mail services,
antivirus products, DNS, WINS and network account management on
multiple operating systems (Microsoft XP, Server 2003, UNIX);
Assist staff and contractors with hardware troubleshooting as
required;
Assist with the Firewall management and Border Protection Services;
Work as part of a team, ensuring technical solutions are communicated
with other staff in sup****t of multiple and concurrent experiments,
development campaigns and training sessions;
Create, revise and maintain do***entation of designs, configurations
and assist with Network and sup****t do***entation;
Sup****t data storage and recovery;
Provide technical advice, recommendations and assistance to TA on new
requirements and network architectures;
Recommended changes to Standard Operating Procedures as required
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
24 months experience in the preceding 48 months of working with
networks, and desktop sup****t in an information technology
environment.
Experience within the last 48 months of working with UNIX or Linux
Operating Systems.
Experience within the last 36 months of the physical installation of a
network and related components and assemblies.
Experience within the last 36 months, of performing desktop imaging.
Experience within the last 36 months of configuring Microsoft servers
and services. Microsoft servers and services, namely Active Directory,
DHCP and DNS
Experience within the last 36 months of configuring antivirus
software.
Experience within the last 24 months of performing system and sup****t
do***entation.
12 months experience in the last 48 months working with web-based
technologies
Experience with Storage Area Network sup****t
Candidates must currently possess Government of Canada Secret
Clearance.
