Mindwire has an immediate contracting op****tunity for a desktop
sup****t specialist to work with one of our Ottawa based, public sector
clients.
DESCRIPTION:
Connect IT devices, such as PC=92s, printers, monitors, to WAN/LANs and
troubleshoot problems as necessary;
Install software patches for computers on the network and in labs;
Configure, troubleshoot, sup****t and administrate desktop services,
including access to directories, mail, antivirus products, DNS, and
account management on Microsoft platforms;
Load and configure applications, software tools and sup****t their
connectivity as required in the execution of various initiatives;
Setup, configure, troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment, including
IT hardware, cabling, desks, and chairs;
Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues for initiatives being
developed and conducted in the labs;
Work as part of a team, ensuring technical solutions are communicated
with other staff in sup****t of multiple and concurrent experiments,
development campaigns and training sessions;
Create, maintain and review do***entation of designs, configurations
and assist with Network and sup****t do***entation;
Provide advice on IT equipment to TA as required, and;
Provide assistance with Standard Operating Procedure do***entation as
required.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Must CURRENTLY possess Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance;
24 months experience in the preceding 48 months of working with
networks, and desktop sup****t in an information technology
environment.
Experience within the last 48 months of working with Microsoft
Operating Systems.
Experience within the last 36 months of physical connection and
configuration of computer equipment.
Experience within the last 36 months of performing desktop imaging.
Experience within the last 36 months of creating accounts in Microsoft
Active Directory.
Experience within the last 24 months of configuring antivirus
software.
Experience within the last 24 months of performing system sup****t
do***entation.
Experience within the last 24 months of connecting computers to a
network.
