SQA Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Development team and System Architecture team to
ensure adequacy of Application Programming Interface (API) testing,
through: o Clear understanding of product interfaces and design
implications. o Development of test framework and test cases using a
suitable programming language (primarily C/C++ and/or Java). o
Development of Test Plan do***ent, and involvement in all aspects of
test setup and execution, including: + Re****ting of test results. +
Logging and verifying defects. + Developing test automation artifacts
where applicable and conducting automated testing * Co-ordination with
development for defect analysis & Validate developer-implemented
resolutions to defects * Work closely with Customer Sup****t team and
with Development team to: o Analyze customer re****ted issues. o Verify
fixes to customer re****ted issues.
Education/Skill Requirements:
* BSCS or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and
experience * 8+ years of software QA experience in which 5 years in
complex clustered UNIX environment. * Must have Sr. Level experience
installing, scripting, testing, configuring and executing Java and
C++based Web and stand alone applications * Must have experience in
Client-Server architecture * Ability to broadly understand product and
company goals to prioritize test cases and rapidly accomplish test
cases. * Experience with testing network applications and protocol
validations. * Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC), including: o Coding standards. o Testing techniques and tools.
* Proven background of coding in standard programming languages (C/C++,
Java). * Strong and proven experience with Veritas and Oracle cluster
environment. and Load Balancing. * Strong experience in defining and
executing Load, Stress and Performance Tests and generate metrics for
distribution. * Strong experience in Unix Shell, Perl & Python
Scripting languages. * Strong experience with Oracle Database and
should be strong at SQL and PL/SQL * Minimum 3 years of working
experience with Web Logic/Web Sphere. * Should have hands-on
programming experience to do automation using Java, Ant and JUnit
Framework and JMetre. * Self motivated with excellent written and
verbal communication skills.
Additional expectations :
* Previous experience in API testing a plus. * Previous experience in
working in OTA space a plus.(server or device testing). * Knowledge of
OMA DM standards and familiarity with SyncML Conformance Test Suite
(SCTS) andETS (Enabler Test Specification) a plus
