We are seeking a Software Configuration Management Expert for our El
Dorado Hills, CA (near Sacramento) office. This is a full-time
permanent position with Amdocs.
Overview:
Responsible for creating and executing all SCM processes and activities
in conjunction with the RE team and Development team for BCS Core,
advising/consulting with greater Amdocs on SCM direction/activities.
Responsible for software kit deployments, sup****t and maintenance in
the PDU environments and assisting in any/all Middleware Engineering
(ME) activities as assigned.
Role/Responsibilities:
Release Engineering
=EF=83=98Sup****t the ETL (Business Intelligence) SCM branch, build,
software
kit and deployment processes.
=EF=83=98Sup****t the DDPX (DDP Extension layer) SCM branch, build,
software
kit and deployment processes.
=EF=83=98Sup****t the BCS Core components=E2=80=99 SCM branch, build,
softwa=
re kit
and deployment processes.
=EF=83=98Sole west coast presence for sup****t of the Perforce SCM system
for
BCS Core and the associated user community, including Development,
Testing and Infra.
Middleware Engineering
=EF=83=98Sup****t for all milestone SDLC deployments.
=EF=83=98Assist in building new environments.
=EF=83=98Auditing and testing of various Middleware related
functions/pieces
such as Unified Installation testing.
=EF=83=98Sup****t several of the CBU product environments (examples are
environments #4, 9, 10, and 14). This involves debugging issues with
ABP and BCS WLS serve
Requirements/Qualifications:
Experience
=EF=83=98BS CS, minimum 7 years experience in SCM and Middleware related
disciplines.
=EF=83=98Strong expertise (senior SME) in the disciplines of Release
Engineering (RE, or in Amdocs known as CC) and Middleware Engineering
(ME) for BCS Core PDU.

Technical Skills

specifically
code management in a highly complex project development environment,
involving various industry standard tools such as Perforce, Harvest,
CVS, etc. (must have worked with 1 or more of these tools- Perforce is
preferred)
=EF=83=98Related technical skills and product knowledge for RE/ME:
Java/J2EE, WLS administration, JDK, InstallAnywhere, Unix, Wintel,
Group 1, Vertex, GGS.
=EF=83=98Solid understanding of SDLC, Amdocs business objectives.
=EF=83=98Must be able to create high quality technical, internal
do***entation
