QA Lead Tester
ESSENTIAL DUTIES =B7 Manage, Coach and Task assigned Test Group =B7
Main point of contact for the Development team within the QA Department
=B7 Assure patches and titles are fully tested prior to launch =B7
Management and maintenance of bug database =B7 Act as a liaison between
primary QA team and other internal SOE departments =B7 Patch and Live
Title Launch recommendations and re****ts from a QA perspective =B7
Manage creation and implementation of test plans for assigned title =B7
Manage do***entation process, verify do***ents for clarity, accuracy
and intuitiveness =B7 Re****t personnel issues with QA Supervisors =B7
Track employee attendance and other areas as assigned by QA Manager and
QA Supervisors =B7 Work with QA Liaisons for automated test design,
creation and tool implementation =B7 Daily and Weekly Re****t creation
and submission to QA Management =B7 Test status re****ts for Development
and SOE Executive Management =B7 Create and execute Milestone
Acceptance Tests =B7 Problem solving on a Project Management level =B7
Escalate personnel or training issues to QA Supervisors =B7 Generate
high and low level test plans for assigned features =B7 Represent QA in
Development and Ops meetings =B7 Track attendance and performance of
testers assigned to QA team =B7 Share acquired game knowledge with
fellow QA testers and new hires =B7 Mentoring QA Tester 1s on test
direction, general testing process/protocol and tools =B7 Apply a
proactive approach in the QA Process on a consistent level =B7
Journeyman testing - Must be able to think outside the scope of the
test plan when appropriate (ad hoc testing, do***enting negative test
cases, etc.) =B7 General game play testing =B7 Follow SOE Tester
procedures outlined by QA Training team =B7 Become proficient at the
game assigned
QUALIFICATIONS =B7 Demonstrated prior experience with project
management on a team level =B7 Expert knowledge of MS Excel =B7
Thorough knowledge of all MS Office Programs =B7 Working knowledge of
MS-DOS, HTML, Perforce (or any other related version control SOFTWARE)
=B7 Experience in managing bug workflow within a defect tracking
SOFTWARE tool =B7 Any combination of experience/training to demonstrate
possession of specific job skills =B7 Experience in the QA test process
on any of the following platforms: PS2, PSP, Xbox, Gamecube, PC, MAC,
GBA, NDS =B7 Working knowledge of the SOFTWARE development process =B7
Expert communicator - Must possess excellent verbal and written
communication skills =B7 Ability to provide proper feedback on test
team performance =B7 Strong analytical, leader****p and organizational
skills =B7 Must possess excellent verbal and written communication
skills =B7 Able to interpret high and low level design do***entation
and create appropriate test cases (ad hoc direction, positive and
negative) =B7 Working knowledge of Networking and patch procedures =B7
Demonstrated ability to recognize, diagnose, and re****t hardware vs.
SOFTWARE defects and bugs =B7 Expert knowledge of one SOE product =B7
Demonstrated ability to comply with SOE QA Department's bug writing
standards on a consistent level =B7 Intermediate knowledge of various
competing products and titles within the video game industry market =B7
Working knowledge of PC hardware =B7 Demonstrated ability to comprehend
and apply assigned QA manuals and all training materials =B7 Team
player, able to work well with others =B7 Ability to follow verbal
instructions =B7 Available to work ANY ****ft =B7 Demonstrated expert
knowledge of DevTrack - Preferred =B7 Working knowledge of C++,
Linux, Unix, Java - Preferred =B7 Working knowledge of the SCEA TRC
- Preferred =B7 Knowledge and/or experience in the game/platform
being hired for - Preferred =B7 All requirements are necessary to
qualify for the position unless noted
