Software Engineer

Participates in the analysis of software requirements. =B7 Designs
software features of moderate complexity and participates in the
design of more complex features. =B7 Do***ents design specifications. =B7
Participates in design reviews. =B7 Participates in peer reviews and
code inspections. =B7 Performs and re****ts on debugging and unit testing
of software features and products. =B7 Actively drives the integration
of software features on target hardware platforms. =B7 Interfaces with
electrical, firmware, and other engineers to ensure software/hardware
compatibility. =B7 Participates in the verification and validation of
software products, including preparation of test specifications and
execution of test protocols. =B7 Frequently assists technical sup****t in
troubleshooting systems in the field. =B7 Writes product do***entation.
=B7 Provides inputs into development estimates regarding own
deliverables, and deliverables assign to others. =B7 Tracks own project
progress and re****ts status and issues to R&D manager. =B7 Remains up-to-
date on latest software development technologies and methodologies. =B7
Participates in continuous process improvement activities and
initiatives. =B7 Performs other duties as assigned by R&D manager. =B7
Mentors and trains junior engineers. Qualifications/Work Experience =B7
2-3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 1-2
years with a Master's =B7 Must excel in high pressure environments with
aggressive deadlines =B7 Excellent written and oral communication skills
=B7 Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills =B7
Ability to work both independently and as a team member =B7 Proficient
with programming languages such as C#, C++, Visual Basic, and Java =B7
Working knowledge of development environments such as Microsoft Visual
Studio .Net, Netbeans, IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic =B7 Experience with
the development of Web sites, applications, and services using
technologies such as DHTML, Javascript, Java Applets, Macromedia
Flash, CSS, and XML =B7 Understanding of database servers and
applications technologies based on Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and Sybase
SQL including ODBC or JDBC =B7 Programming knowledge on operating
systems including Microsoft Windows XP, Unix, and Linux =B7 Expert
knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies
including the Unified Modeling Language (UML) =B7 Working knowledge and
understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and
practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical
specialization =B7 Proven ability to write clear technical
do***entation
