Senior Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
You will work on a dynamic development team performing analysis,
design and development of our next generation software using the
latest in J2EE and .NET technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
* Both new development and maintenance/enhancement to existing
software.
* Detailed technical design of software components based on
requirements.
* Coordinate and lead software design reviews.
* Coordinate and lead sofware code reviews.
* Lead small teams of engineers on defined projects.
* Coding and unit testing.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent,
and will have at least 7-10 years of programming experience developing
commercial software products.
The following experience is required:
* Strong passion for software development!
* Commercial experience with one (or both) of the following
- Java: J2EE, EJB, and JSP.
- .Net: CLR, C#, SPS
* At least 5 years programming in UNIX and/or Windows server
environments.
* Experience developing n-tiered Internet-based applications.
* Experience writing SQL (Oracle and/or SQL Server).
* Object-oriented analysis and design.
The following experience is a definite plus:
* Java technologies: JavaScript, Struts, JSTL, SAAJ, Hibernate, JBoss,
WebSphere
* Microsoft technologies: .Net, ActiveX, SharePoint Services (SPS)
* Web technologies: Web 2.0, AJAX, Flex, WebDAV
* Video technologies: Windows Media, QuickTime and/or MXF, streaming
media servers, non-linear editing software, broadcast servers,
hardware and/or software encoding solutions.
* Experience working with video formats and technologies.
* Experience with Service Oriented Architecture of applications. This
includes developing web services using SOAP in a J2EE/.Net
environment.
* Experience developing software application frameworks using Sun's
J2EE Patterns and GOF patterns.
