SU611-4007<br> Using computer-aided design (CAD), develop layouts
of engineering drawings using CadKey Software from predetermined
basic designs such as structures, mechanics, electrical, or
electronics. Work from various forms of engineering input; make
mathematical calculations as required; determine proper layout of
and prepare complete production detail drawings, assemblies, and
installations; contribute design modifications to improve quality
of product or facilitate manufacturing operations. Work from
engineering notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed
sketches, prepare readable working plans, detailed drawings,
parts list, schematics, and complete mechanical or electrical
drawings of major components, systems, and assemblies for
engineering or manufacturing purposes. Verify own work by
checking dimensions, making mathematical calculations as required
using handbooks and catalogs in sup****t of drafting calculations,
materials used, and quantities. Determine drawing and view
scaling required; insert necessary reference planes, center and
dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning in
the preparation of production detail drawings. Assure that detail
parts and assemblies can be made and that parts and components
will fit or interface properly within limits of allowable
tolerances. Revise CAD drawings as needed. Create as built
drawings through field examination of components or systems.
Maintain records, files, drawings and part lists, specifications,
standards, and other data essential to the completion of
engineering drawings as required.

Minimum Qualifications:<br> High school diploma plus four years
drafting/design experience, or Associate's degree with two years
drafting/design experience. Drafting/Design experience to include
two years in drafting techniques and skills using a CAD System.
Cadkey Software skills preferred. Knowledge of computer
operations and software relevant to drafting and design tasks.
Basic working knowledge of manufacturing, operational processes
and equipment. Familiarity with industry practices and standards.
Solid working knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5. Requires use of math
including algebra, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry as
might be acquired through high school and/or trade school
studies. Good oral and written communication skills.<br> <br>
Desirable qualifications: Basic drafting practice
