Electrical Specialist II - #3756<br> The Electrical Specialist
performs skilled work in either complex industrial electrical or
electronic systems and may assist other Electrical/Electronic
Specialists in electrical work related to construction and/or
maintenance of company building facilities and electrical
systems. The other responsibilities include disassembling,
cleaning, repairing and installing electric motors, switches,
fuses, relays, circuit breakers, controls and wiring. The
position also performs testing, repairing and maintenance
assignments as directed on equipment such as instruments, motors,
transformers, high voltage switch gear, etc. Position also
requires assisting in overhaul, test, repair, maintenance and
modification of closed circuit television cameras and monitors,
pan/tilt/zoom controls, alarm systems, intercom systems, access
control systems including card readers, gate operators, data
collection and control systems, multiplexing and microprocessor
equipment and installation and modification of the DDC in the
Energy Management System. <br> Facilities<br>
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Training as industrial electrician or equivalent to two years in
military or trade school, or AA degree in electronic and two
years of Industrial electrical maintenance and repair. The
ability to use all hand and power tools and standard test
equipment will be required as is knowledge in construction
industry practices and will require application of the National
Electrical Code to assigned tasks. Must be able to read
schematics and have knowledge of computer operations and
applications.<br> <br> DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Training as an
apprentice electrician. Interpersonal skills that demonstrate
professional communication to work with contractors and deal with
people under pressure. The ability to prepare sketches for
maintenance or troubleshooting is also highly desirable.<br>
